In today’s world, there is a growing trend among young adults who are choosing entrepreneurship as an alternative to traditional corporate careers. Meet two young, local ladies in our town who are carving their own entrepreneurial paths in life. Morgan and Claudia (both 24 years old) are passionate and driven entrepreneurs who have introduced a touch of Europe to our community. Together, they have created a unique store that caters to a multilayered market.

Morgan, with her background in beauty and nail work, had always nurtured a desire to open her own salon. During a girls’ trip to Portugal and Greece last year, Morgan and Claudia were captivated by the coastal European style, particularly the enchanting boutiques they encountered. This transformative experience ignited a determination within them to turn their longstanding dream of opening a salon and boutique into a concrete reality.
Upon their return, the duo embarked on an impromptu drive around town in search of the perfect location for their store. Serendipitously, they stumbled upon a vacant shop in Ballito Village and swiftly secured it by signing a lease in December. With unwavering faith and support from their loved ones, these courageous women began their entrepreneurial journey.

The aesthetic design of the store was meticulously curated by Morgan and Claudia, drawing inspiration from their carefully crafted Pinterest boards and adventures overseas. They aimed to recreate the ambience of European boutiques by incorporating clean whites, neutral tones, accents of raw wood, and touches of greenery. The process of naming their business involved brainstorming sessions, with the goal of finding a name that would complement their aesthetic and reflect their shared appreciation for simplicity. They settled on the perfect name: Bare & Boho.
This name summarises the brand’s identity, encompassing both the concept of minimalism and the fashionable style of Boho-chic. Today, Bare & Boho proudly incorporates a serene salon and captivating shopping boutique under one roof.
Recognising a gap in the local market, Morgan and Claudia have introduced their own line of exquisite linen outfits. Collaborating with a talented local seamstress, they transform their unique designs into tangible pieces of wearable art. In addition to their exclusive clothing line, Bare & Boho showcases other South African brands, providing customers with a comprehensive and diverse shopping experience.

Among the many offerings at Bare & Boho, one standout product is the Collagen Tan Can. Claudia and Morgan had a desire to introduce something truly distinctive to the salon, discovered the Collagen Tan Can and immediately recognised its potential. This innovative, UV-controlled tanning method utilises red light therapy, offering numerous benefits to the skin. In just eight minutes per session, the Collagen Tan Can helps stimulate collagen production, rejuvenate the skin, reduce inflammation, and minimise the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scarring. Achieve a stunning summer tan while simultaneously nourishing your skin with this remarkable technology.
Immerse yourself in a day of self-care and indulgence at Bare & Boho, where you can treat yourself to a range of services, from nails, eyebrows and eyelashes to a glowing tan and fashionable new outfit. I hope that Morgan and Claudia’s journey inspires you to pursue your own dreams and seize your moment. Prepare to bask in the warm embrace of European holiday vibes at Bare & Boho, where a new and rejuvenated you awaits.
