Specialising with Purpose
I was drawn to conveyancing because property is deeply personal. A transfer is rarely just a legal transaction but rather a new chapter. I believe that our best days are always ahead of us, and it is incredibly rewarding to see my clients through the journey towards their preferred future.

A Common Misconception
Many people think a conveyancer simply prepares a few documents and registers the property. In reality, we are coordinating an entire process involving buyers, sellers, estate agents, banks, municipalities, SARS, managing agents and the Deeds Office. Good conveyancing is really about project management, clear communication and finding solutions before issues delay the transfer.

Honesty Builds Trust
I believe clients should never feel pressured into making a decision they do not fully understand. My role is to explain the legal position clearly, identify the risks and provide honest, practical advice so that they can make an informed decision with confidence. Property decisions have long-term financial and personal consequences, so integrity and transparency must always come before completing the transaction.

Life Beyond Work
I am not sure that perfect balance exists, and I am most definitely a “work in progress” in this area! As a business owner, wife and mother of five, I often find myself pulled in a hundred different directions. That has probably been one of my biggest lessons. It is very easy to spend your day responding to messages, putting out fires and trying to keep everyone happy, only to realise that the things that matter most – my faith, my family, my health and the bigger-picture decisions in my business – have been pushed to the side. I do not always get it right, but I am learning to pause, prioritise and be honest about what truly needs my attention. For me, balance is less about having everything perfectly under control and more about constantly realigning myself with what matters most.

The Golden Rule
Always read the fine print, a.k.a. your sale agreement. Never sign a property agreement that you do not completely understand. Ask questions before signing, not after. A sale agreement creates binding obligations with significant financial consequences, and a few minutes spent obtaining proper advice at the beginning can prevent months of stress and expense later. A good attorney should make the process clearer, not more intimidating.
