Love for Design
I grew up on a farm surrounded by beautiful gardens and homes filled with warmth and character, which definitely sparked my love for design. I’ve always believed that our homes should feel welcoming and lived in. I now gravitate towards natural textures, earthy tones and pieces that bring warmth and tell a story.
Business Reality
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt is that growth takes time. In today’s world, it’s easy to compare your journey to everyone else’s, but building a business is a marathon, not a sprint. Consistency, resilience, and genuine care for your customers are far more valuable than chasing quick success.
Creativity Meets Clients
As much as I love being creative, great design isn’t about my personal taste; it’s about creating spaces that reflect the people living in them. I listen carefully to how my clients want their homes to feel and then use creativity to bring that vision to life. The magic happens when you can combine beautiful design with practicality and create a space that feels authentic to the client.
Advice for Women
Back yourself and don’t be afraid to start before you feel completely ready. There will always be moments of self-doubt, but confidence often comes from simply taking the next step. Also, don’t underestimate the power of kindness and authenticity in business. People remember how you make them feel, and those relationships are often what sustain a business for years.
