Swoon is a new spa at the Zimbali Nexus house, where you get to step into pure luxury. The Swoon team might be newly formed, but they have some good experience amongst themselves and are excited to treat their clients. Owned by Sian Scheepers Williams, there’s solid backing and a local face behind the spa.
We were invited to go experience some of Swoon’s offerings and to indulge in some pampering. With a warm welcome, Roxy and I were shown to our comfy chairs, where we began with a pedicure. Thobile was the one looking after me and she did a great job at making sure I felt at ease and that my feet got the full treatment they deserve – the whole pedi was really soothing and relaxing and got me thoroughly ready for the massage that was coming next. Nobuhle looked after Roxy and she was just as happy with the outcome of her pedi and gel toe nails – all in all a very good start!
Relaxed and with my new gorgeous feet done, I was then taken to the private beauty/treatment room, where Slindile was going to pamper me with a hot stone massage, focusing on my back, neck, and shoulders, as well as my legs. Slindile intuitively found the spots between my neck and shoulders that needed extra attention – with gentle but firm movements, my knots were eased away! I do love a hot stone massage, and when done well, it leaves one feeling completely relaxed and with all the knots gone – I felt like a whole new person leaving, thoroughly relaxed and renewed.
