Fur-Ever a Part of your Day

Find out how you can include your four-legged best friend in your wedding at Haycroft Farm, a venue where timeless romance meets the rustic beauty of the Midlands.

Set in the picturesque Midlands, Haycroft Farm offers a serene escape, thoughtfully designed for a worry-free celebration. With inclusive venue hire, neutral décor, and every detail carefully considered, it’s the perfect setting for your special day.

What are some of the ways couples have incorporated their dogs into their ceremony?Â

We recently witnessed a family training their gorgeous Great Dane, Vincent, to deliver the rings down the aisle.Â

Is your venue dog-friendly? If so, what specific accommodations do you offer for them?

Our venue is indeed dog-friendly, and we welcome pets to join the festivities. The Bridle Barn is entirely fenced, ensuring the safety of pets throughout the wedding weekend. We also offer a pet sitting service post-photoshoot, providing a comfortable resting place for your pets, as well as a stress-free evening for you, knowing that your fur baby is safe and sound asleep.Â

Do you have designated areas for pets?

Pets are generally permitted in most areas on our farm, however, not all accommodation suites are pet-friendly.Â

Should couples be aware of any restrictions or rules when bringing their pets to the venue?

Pets are not allowed to remain at the reception when the music becomes excessively loud.

What tips do you have for couples who want their pets to play a role, such as being a ring bearer or part of a photoshoot?

Pets must be well-socialised and comfortable with receiving attention. Given the farm setting and wedding attire, it is advisable to avoid including a dog prone to jumping up. Acquaint the pet with the venue through frequent visits before the wedding day. If special accessories are to be worn by the pet, ensure they are accustomed to these items beforehand.

Have you hosted any dog-friendly weddings recently? If so, could you share an example of how it worked and how the day unfolded?

Yes, we have hosted several events where pets played significant roles in both the ceremony and photoshoots. From the early preparations, these beloved animals were photographed alongside their owners. Some rested on their moms’ veils during the ceremony, while others fell asleep on their dads’ shoes. All were included in the creative photoshoot, together with the rest of the bridal party.Â

Following the canapés, as guests moved to the reception, pets were taken to the accommodation suites and settled for the night.

Can you accommodate overnight guests?

We can accommodate up to 72 guests. Our facilities include a fully equipped Clubhouse suitable for weekend events, ranging from pre-wedding gatherings with friends and family, morning coffee on the patio, to post-wedding brunches for farewells.

When is the best time to get married at Haycroft Farm?

We are an all-seasons wedding venue:

  • Warmer Months: The summer rains transform the scenic views. Our forest chapel provides ample shade for afternoon ceremonies, while canapés by the dam are perfect for warmer afternoons. The entire front of the venue opens onto a terrace, cooling down the evenings beautifully.
  • Cooler Months: Winter adds a cosy element to your wedding day. While days remain pleasantly warm, we provide blankets for guests who may feel chilly during the ceremony. Our outdoor fire pit, popular for sipping sherry, enhances the ambience. Additionally, the venue’s fireplace is lit and welcoming as guests enter the reception, ensuring their comfort despite the outside temperature’s cooling down.
