Do the JumpStart Challenge #JustStart

Join local sporting celebrities and Ballito’s FunTribe for the JumpStart Challenge at Holla Trails, Sugar Rush Park on Sunday, March 13. Walk, run or ride to help break the cycle of poverty and inequality among South Africa’s youth in an event powered by Mr Price Foundation. Â

The Foundation empowers young, unemployed South Africans through the JumpStart skills development programme.Â

FunTribe member Jenny Viljoen said, “Stay fit and have fun, while doing it for a worthy cause. Our youth are an important part of society and empowering them ensures a better future for our country. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join our Tribe in doing good at Holla Trails on March 13!”Â

A hybrid event with options for both virtual and physical participation, the Challenge runs from March 12 to 20. It offers participants, young and old, professional or amateur, a range of distances to choose from. #JustStart

Virtual entry is R99 per person for the following categories:

  • Virtual run or walk:Â 3km * 7km * 15kmÂ
  • Virtual Ride: 15km * 50km * 100kmÂ

Physical participants at Holla Trails will pay a 50% discounted rate of R140 to ride and R120 to run. This includes the necessary permits.Â

  • Holla Trailsrun or walk:Â 3.3km * 8.5km * 14kmÂ
  • Holla Trails MTB Ride: 15km * 50km * 95km

Holla Trails manager Jasper van Vessem said, “We are excited to collaborate with Mr Price Foundation on this hybrid event. We hope that March 13 will highlight the Foundation’s efforts to empower our youth and break the cycle of poverty and inequality in our amazing country.”

Sugar Rush Park MD De Villiers Gouws welcomed the JumpStart Challenge to the park. “We invite both locals and holidaymakers to join in this fun event at Sugar Rush Park, while collectively doing good for our future. You can make a difference,” said Gouws.
