The beautiful sunrise visible from the bedroom windows provides the perfect opportunity for morning photos, while the veranda allows for serene moments in the embrace of nature.
Guests can experience the beauty of the natural bush as they enjoy a guided tour through the reserve. Adventuring through the winding paths, we had up-close encounters with the bird and wildlife, such as giraffes, waterbucks, kudus, and nyalas. The game rangers also shared their knowledge of the wildlife along the way. Do you know why zebra and wildebeest herd together? Well, their feeding habits complement each other: zebra eat the top of grass while wildebeest graze the bottom. Guests can enjoy many other activities at the lodge as well, such as self-drive game viewing, nature hikes, bird watching, mountain biking, trail running and so much more.
No visit to a bush lodge is complete without experiencing the magic of a boma. As the sun sets, the lodge sets the stage for an evening around a crackling campfire under the twinkling stars. This setting creates the perfect ambience for guests to make lasting memories. The boma experience provides a chance to share stories from the day in the bush against the backdrop of the valley.
At dinner, we feasted on fabulous meals prepared by the talented chef, complemented by their great selection of wines. From buttery soft steak to succulent deboned chicken with fresh veggies, it was a magical dining experience, with splendid views adding to the overall ‘escape in the bush’ feeling.
Mornings at Yembeni Bush Lodge are also delightful. We woke up to the aromas of freshly brewed cappuccinos and a delicious English breakfast. There is the option of eating breakfast by the pool to soak up the warm rays of sunshine. This is the perfect way to start the day, appreciating the surroundings and planning exciting activities ahead.
